As a special feature by our students on the culmination of our theatrical workshop, Mr.Sumit Thakur – Theatre Arts teacher churned out two remarkable performances covering one short play and a mime with them.  In this stint in the school he covered ‘Rebirth’ – a short play based on doctors, and ‘Life of a Butterfly’ – a mime.

‘Rebirth’ emphasizes that doctors are not Gods.  They show us how man comes closest to being God, because momentarily he holds his patients lives, in his hands and many a times, it is a split second decision that would decide life and death.  With that kind of selfless working under pressure that the doctors do, we should show more compassion towards them.  We must stop violence against doctors and consider them ‘as our friends’.

‘Life of a Butterfly’ – mime conveys a message that nobody has the right to play with anyone’s life – it the life of a human or animal or bird or an insect.

The school utilized this occasion to felicitate runners-up of Subrato Football cup.

This occasion also marked the address of the Director Mr.Ch.Vijay Prakash urging the students to refrain from indulging in harmful (dangerous) videogames.  He reiterated the impact of climate change on earth.

Dr. Georgianna Marie Dwarte is a renowned professional who has been a recipient of many honours and awards in the US and other countries.  Her contribution in the field of education has been long and illustrious.

It is remarkable what she had achieved in the last 12 years.  She has done her bachelors in Early childhood education from Georgia State University.  She has done her Masters in Elementary Education from Edinboro State University, Edinboro Pennsylvania.  She is a doctor of Philosophy in curriculum and instruction, Major in Early Childhood Education, Minor in Reading from the Pennsylvania State University.  The new session this year was welcomed by Dr.Goergianna who has come here from the USA to guide our teachers to understand and implement latest teaching techniques along with making them aware of the do’s and don’ts of teaching.  Presently, she is working with Adams, Endowed professor in the Department of teaching and learning, Bayh College of Education in the Indiana State University in the US.

The topics covered by her were :- Communication encompassing the various types along with the process and barriers in it.  She gave us valuable insights as in the things and methods we could adopt to make it effective.  It also covered the importance of listening in the process of learning and how to implement it.  Her sessions also covered the importance of employing an ‘all inclusive’ policy in which the emphasis was to reach out to all the kids and overcome the challenge of variable, IQs and learning skills.  The following topics were covered Class room mamagement, Independent learning, D.A.P., effects of physical environment, ability grouping, types of mentoring and creation of our action plan inculcating all the above factors.

The teachers were exposed to the trends and concepts that were being followed by the USA and European educationists.  It was very relevant and dynamic, and it was observed that by incorporating her inputs the effectiveness of teaching would be of a better quality and far more effective.  For the children working with Dr.Georgianna was a unique experience.  They really emerged all charged up and the flow of creative ideas astonished one and all.

Dr.Georgianna and the other teachers got together to reiterate our commitment to conserve our environment, as they planted saplings on Environment day. During the pot lunch organized by the staff of SPSS, Dr.Georgianna stressed the importance of team work and the results that can be achieved  throught it.

On 28-06-2019 we bade ferewell to Dr.Georgianna Dwarte with a very heavy heart.  On this occasion we realized the immense work she did in her assignment and created a special place in all our hearts.  Some fought tears and some let some drops shed.  But, the common sentiment was that we will miss her and wait for her to return for another stint here.  We wish her a safe journey and a long and prosperous life.

Synergites celebrated William Shakespeare’s Day with fun and frolic in true Sri Prakash Style. On 23rd April 2019, Shakespeare is considered one of the greatest literature, poet and playwright of all times. 

His philosophy seems to have been cynical and pessimistic.  He seems to have been an agnostic, although it would have been unwise for him to express agnostic or atheistic at a time when the church was very powerful and vindictive.  The primary section presented a colourful and musical skit ‘Ant and the cricket’ that delivered a powerful message to the students. The spell bound audience were transcended to the Shakespearean era while witnessing the tiny tots perform a fancy dress-strutting the ramp in complete style.  Shakespeare has 154 sonnets.  A few of our synergites rendered popular sonnets in front of an awe struck audience.  These sonnets covered a variety of emotions eg love, loss, deception, time, youth etc and were certainly not simple poems.

A vivid portrait depicting the central, theme of the famous play ‘The Merchant of Venice’ was commissioned.  This was prepared by the students under the aegis of Art sir Mr.Srinu.

‘To be or not to be’ ‘Hail Caesar’ ‘All that gliters is not gold’ ‘O’Romeo, Romeo!’… Yes!  These popular dramatic phrases are indeed from Shakespearean literature.  Over the course of his life, Shakespeare wrote nearly 40 plays (tragedies, comedies and histories) 154 sonnets, and 2 narrative poems.

But today was the day to present ‘The merchant of venice’ which truly proved that Shakespeare’s literature is synonymous with theatre – the two are clearly inseparable.

‘All the world’s a stage….’ As these words were delivered Nixon was at his oratory best.  These famous lines from ‘As you like it’ were welcomed with a thunderous applause.

The Director sir’s speech was followed by a speech by our chief guests Dr.Sudhakar C Agarkar and Professor S.R.Santhanam.

Students at Sri Prakash Synergy School warmly welcomed a special feature while the participants of this feature rendered it an element of festivity in true style of Sri Prakash.  This event was none other than the culmination f our theatrical workshop under the tutelage of theatre arts teacher Mr.Sumit Thakur.

The curtain of the theatrical show was raised to a memorable presentation called “NAINA” the story of the young generation – an improvised short play by the students of Theatre Arts.  “NAINA” depicts that in life sometimes you take a stand which is different from the views of our elders.  Contrary to benefit, it is not always disrespectful to our elders if we donot concur with their decisions which are not ethically and morally right.  The effect of special lighting added an extra dimension to today’s feature.  The second performance was mime show.  The mime titled “NATURE” depicts that trees are the lungs of the earth.  But we are recklessly destroying trees which is resulting in ‘devastation’.  The other mime ‘TUG – OF – WAR’ presented a tug-of-war between differing perceptions and ideologies towards a common goal.  It also showed how the goal itself was destroyed with use of unfair means in the relentless pursuit.  But the theatrical feature was far more utilitarian than being more entertainer.  Information was given on importance of theatre arts, its history of Natyashastra, career guidance.

The Chief Guest, Director of the school reiterated the importance of Theatre Arts.  Synergites have brought laurels to the school in the field of Cricket in the ACA children’s cup state championship under the aegis of their Coach Mr. G.Durga Prasad.  The school utilized this opportunity to felicitate the winning team by the Director sir Mr.Ch.Vijay Prakash.

Being the theme for the most memorable Teacher’s day celebrations so far, the day has been etched in our minds as a book of lessons and in our hearts as a sweet memory.

One of the most amazing days, 5^th September, 2018 had begun with students being in the shoes of the teachers and the heads of the institution. 

As the day progressed, the mindsets of the students moulded into the mindsets of the teachers and managers, thinking high, searching the limits of the endless sky for innovative ideas and systematic plans to run the day successfully.

Students did not just dress up in formal outfits but also shouldered the responsibility to complete the day’s syllabus and fetch experience from every movement.

By the end of the successful half day, the teachers were given greetings made of love and respect from the bottom of their hearts. 

Soon, “Teachers day celebrations” began with a grand start  after having some delicious meal.

The programme was clustered with competitions among Sri Prakash Synergy Kids, Kakinada, Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan, Rajahmundry and Sri Prakash Synergy School, Peddapuram which included dance, songs, dramas and panel discussion.

The dance involuntarily moved our hands and feet as per the rhythm.  The songs that had been sung continued to echoed in our ears for so long and the dramas made the moment very enjoyable.  And finally, the panel discussion equipped our brains with knowledge and new ideas.

The gifts that were distributed to the winners and runners up teams and participants had been the treasures of knowledge and intelligence – “novels”.

The celebrations will be one of the reasons for a smile on the face of every person who had involved in it every time we look back on the past.

The School’s first and the most prestigious ceremonies christened as Investiture Ceremony on which the students are bestowed with ranks and officially made obeisance to take responsible stake holders to run the school its most diligent & effective way.

Chief guest Dr. Samatha Vellanki, Asst. Chief of Medicine is Harris Methodist Hospital, Dallas, Houston, USA had graced the occasion.  A former alumni of Sri Prakash enlighted the audience with her message “Know the importance of your teacher and schooling in shaping your future”.

Synergising their vows and values the students of four houses presented a synchrosized march past accompanied by the school music bands enchanting musical notes.

The Director Mr.Ch.Vijay Prakash addressed the gathering, exhorted the students to equip themselves with breath of courage, confidence and conviction to be truly successful.  He wished the new council members every success.

At Sri Prakash Synergy School, every summer has a story with sports-enthusiasts and tech-savvy students of classes IV – IX from various schools across the country vying with one another pitching their hopes for an exhilarating and prize-winning spell. The driving force behind holding the Summer Camp is to foster Holistic Development of students with a focused attention on superior technological innovations. Of course, fun and frolic remains the centripetal force.

Truly, the scorching summer was indeed not a deterrent to the enthusiasm-personified Summer Campers nor was their accelerated excitement stoppable. It was the picturesque beauty at the Summer Camp-2018 held from 29 April to 11 May 2018 in Sri Prakash Synergy School, Peddapuram. As is the tradition, the Summer Camp had the curtain raising ceremony on 29 April 2018 amidst much fanfare. Around 140 students from the states: Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka apart from Andhra Pradesh actively participated in various categories of events viz. Adventure, Sports and Games, Life Skills, Technology and Social Skills. The zeal and zesty Summer Camp spread a lavish palette of sporting and techno events that ranged from Lawn Tennis to Basketball to Table Tennis to Robotics, much to the delight and innovative urge of the sports and tech-savvy. 

Towards exploring the transcendental view of the cosmos, part of Astronomy, students-turned-amateur astronomers had a great opportunity of using high-end telescopes. This ecstatic stargazing pursuit provided the students with hands-on experience about celestial bodies studded in the firmament. The phenomenal view of the cosmos gave the students a further fillip to their understanding and contribution to the cutting-edge science of astronomy. The interaction between Sri Anand Babu, renowned Astrophysicist and night sky observer, and the students turned out to be highly productive. 

Moving further, the gritty ride in a giant rainbow checkered balloon, under the twilight canopy, was indeed adventuresome. The balloon, a first time experience in East Godavari District, flying up elegantly was the cynosure of all eyes and it was like chasing one’s dreams across the sky. The students had a gala time as they were regaled with a glide in the beautiful balloon. Their curiosity as to how scientifically it flew up received more than adequate explanation from the Teachers of Science. The students reveled in a joy ride in the balloon and carried home sweet and lasting memories of their vertical ride experience. 

No less significant was the session on Robotics. In fact, it was the crowning feature of the Summer Camp 2018. Robotics has gained momentum in nurturing creativity and problem-solving skills among students. Robotics, a technological breakthrough, has its unique presence in various applications that cut across Science and Technology, Industries, Medical Field, and Defense, to name a few. Robozen Software Solutions spearheaded the process of Building of Robots and their Programming for the students of the Summer Camp. The students were exposed to different tasks like Robotic Arm using Touch and Gyro sensors, Line Follower with Obstacle Detection and Reverse Parking Indication, part of the Robotics session. Incredibly inspired by the innovative concept, the participants turned tech-savvy by creating, designing and building awesome robot models displaying the height of their curiosity and technological bent of mind. Moreover, Robotic Kits and STEM courseware, part of the school’s ATAL Tinkering Lab, are poised to help students discover their brilliance.

Further, 3D Design and Printing, a sweeping new-age technology, holds tremendous breadth of promise for future innovations. Student participants were indeed privileged to have their first and foremost introduction to the nuts and bolts of designing three dimensional objects by using 3D Technology. With a heightened thirst for innovation, they tried their hand at preparing 3D based Phone holders, Small model of a boat, Toys like Lord Krishna, Key Chains, etc. 

Swimming and Yoga sessions, part of Life Skills, helped the student participants hone their vim and vigor. Similarly, the students, based on their preferences, had a snazzy experience in various sports and games like Cricket, Basket Ball, Skating, Table Tennis, Lawn Tennis, and Rope Skipping in addition to swanky Horse Riding. They were even made to equip themselves with refined Table Etiquettes along with a suitable measure of knowledge on Genetic Evolution, paving their way to wholesome learning. 

On 12 May 2018, the grand Summer Camp drew to an impressive close with the valedictory function. Sri Col.L.C.S Naidu, Group Commander, Kakinada Group graced the closing ceremony as the Chief Guest. In his keynote address, the Chief Guest underscored the need for such Summer Camps so that students would be able to fine-tune their skills in various sports and games and other innovative concepts. Sri Ch. Vijay Prakash, Director, Sri Prakash Synergy School, expressing his satisfaction over the success of the Camp, appreciated the Summer Campers and their parents for the trust they reposed in the school as a quality destination for a holistic development coupled with a breadth of human values. 

Sri M.V.S.Murthy, Senior Principal, extended his compliments to the Summer Campers who made Sri Prakash Synergy School – a home away from their homes. Sri Srinivasa Rao, Chief Operating Officer (COO) complimented the participants for their energetic participation.  Smt. Neera Prasad, Vice Principal said that the participants truly deserved appreciation as they maintained nice rapport with the coaches and for the cooperation they extended to the school management. School’s Liaison Officer Sri M.Satish and the Teaching Fraternity were highly appreciative of the animated participation of the students.

Disha – a trademark event of Sri Prakash Synergy School from the Department of Commerce and Economics needs no special mention given the unflinching popularity it enjoys among the students and professionals from the arena of business studies across the educational spectrum.

 Synergites from Std. XII in a creative drive explored a new dimension of DISHA viz. INTRA DISHA. As a prelude to DISHA, it was conceived and held on 21 April 2018 with a view to assessing the breadth of competitive spirit and competency levels Synergites have mastered in understanding the nuances of the volatile business world and to preparing themselves to face the razor-edge competition in the dynamic marketing sector.

The day-long event witnessed a stimulating Panel Discussion on the topic ‘Retail in Rural India – Opportunities and Challenges’ followed by an artistic Ad-Making session and a spellbinding business quiz competition. Synergites grouped on the names of corporate giants i.e., Birla Group, Godrej Group and Adani Group, vied with one another to excel in the trio of events.

Chief Guest of the occasion Sri Srikar Kanda, Regional Director, Business Network International (BNI), fired the imaginations of the Commerce students with his eloquent speech on the trends and trials of retail marketing in India. In the Seminar on the topic ‘Modern Retailing’, the enchanting theme quoted by the Chief Guest that ‘Networking is our Net worth’ truly inspired the students.

Appreciating the new dimension unfurled by the Synergites, the School’s Director Sri Ch.Vijay Prakash said, ‘Business is Confidence’. He further urged the students to keep themselves abreast of the developments in the ever-challenging business world. Prof. Santhanam appealed to the students to rely on the three proven ideals of management – Observe, Perform, and Achieve. Senior Principal Sri M.V.S. Murthy, Smt. Neera Prasad, Vice-Principal, Sri Asit Kumar Roy, Academic in charge of XI & XII and Sri Ch.Ramesh, in charge of DISHA programme applauded the consistent efforts put forth by the students.

The rousing event wrapped up with the declaration of the Birla Group as the Overall Champion in the competitions held.

‘SAVE EARTH’ slogan echoed in the corridors of Sri Prakash Synergy School, Peddapuram as Synergites celebrated Earth Day on 21 April 2018.  The students, who grew environment-conscious, contributed their might in the form of an array of thought-stirring eco-exhibits and charts about bio-diversity, pollution and waste recycling. The dawn of the day witnessed a grand rally across the main arteries of Peddapuram as a run-up to the Earth Day Celebrations of the day. 

The rally was flagged off by Sri B.R.S Seshadri, Municipal Commissioner, Peddapuram, Sri V.Visweswara Rao, R.D.O, and Sri Raja Suribabu Raju, Chairman, Peddapuram Municipality,

in the presence of the school’s Director Sri Ch.Vijay Prakash. The rally was aimed at creating awareness in the minds of the public about conservation of biodiversity. 

The fact that more than 100 Synergites shared their photos that showed their planting saplings in their respective houses speaks eloquently about the scale of their compassion towards the mother Earth. Part of the celebrations, Chief Guest Sri A.R.K. Sastry, Former Director, Botanical Survey of India and renowned advocate of biodiversity conservation shared his views on Mangroves and Himalayan forests through a captivating PPT presentation. 

Growing increasingly conscious about fast depleting forest cover, disappearing mangroves, escalating pollution levels, and melting ice-caps, Synergites symbolically presented a dance format followed by a song and a mime on the theme “Save Earth’. In his key-note address, the Chief Guest exhorted the students that they should be compassionate enough to treat the mother Earth with unconditional love and compliance.

School’s Director Sri Ch. Vijay Prakash appealed to the students that they should become more and more environment-conscious. The Director’s words that the school goes in the direction of conserving energy as 75% of the school’s electricity needs will be supported with the help of solar panels drew a thunderous applause. 

With an oath administered requisitioning compliance to the laws of ecology, the programme drew to a close. Senior Principal, Sri M.V.S Murthy, Vice-Principal Smt.Neera Prasad, Sri M.Satish, Liaison Officer and the Teaching Fraternity participated.
